Can Guanfudun be disinfected with alcohol?

A: Alcohol can be used for disinfection occasionally, but it is not recommended to use it frequently. Reason: ① The surface of Guanfudun has an oleophobic layer (115° water drop Angle). Alcohol is an organic solvent. Frequent wiping with alcohol will dissolve/accelerate the wear of the oleophobic layer, resulting in a decline in anti-fingerprint effect and rough sliding. Occasionally, gently wiping with an alcohol swab (such as in a hospital environment or after contact with dirt for disinfection) has little impact on the oleophobic layer and will not damage the membrane itself. ③ The glass substrate (Nanshan high alumina glass) is not afraid of alcohol, and alcohol will not corrode the glass. The correct cleaning method: ① Daily cleaning: Dry wipe with a microfiber cloth (eyeglass cloth) to remove fingerprints and dust. ② Heavy oil stains: Wipe with a slightly damp microfiber cloth (just clean water), and then immediately dry with a dry cloth. ③ When disinfection is required: Gently wipe with an alcohol swab and then dry with a dry cloth.
