Air bubbles, lifted edges, and fingerprints in film application: Causes and Solutions of Common problems

Bubbles are divided into "dust bubbles" (with particles in the center) and "adhering bubbles" (which can be extruded). The lifted edges are mostly due to positioning deviations or incompatibility of the shells. Fingerprint residue: Check the state of the oleophobic layer - Complete processing procedure attached.
01. Two types of bubbles
Dust bubble: Particles can be seen in the center of the bubble, due to residual dust on the film surface or screen surface. Treatment: Remove it with a dust-removing tape (lift the corner of the film from the bubble position, and after the dust-removing tape adheres to the particles, re-attach it). Adhesive bubbles: Extrudable bubbles without particles can be eliminated by pushing them outward from the center with a scraper.
Key points for prevention: Choose a dust-free room for film application and turn off fans and air conditioners. First, tear off one corner of the film and align it with the receiver/camera for positioning, then gradually release the release film.
02. The lifted edge and the opening are misaligned
Common causes of edge curling: The edge extends beyond the curved surface of the screen (curved film) during positioning, the protective case squeeges the edge of the film, and the edge is not fully pressed after bonding. Handling: Reposition; Change the shell or select a shell type compatible with the membrane; Press along the edge for 30 seconds to allow the adhesive layer to fully spread.

03. Fingerprints and Hydrophobic layers
The new film's fingerprint can be wiped clean immediately, thanks to the oleophobic layer (with a water droplet Angle of 115°). The increase in wiping resistance after several months of use is due to the natural wear of the coating. Judgment method: If water drops into beads and rolls smoothly, it = the coating is healthy. The water droplets spread out = obvious wear of the coating.
