What is the principle of AR anti-reflective film?

The principle of AR (Anti-Reflection) anti-reflective film is the destructive interference of light. Multiple layers of optical films with precisely controlled refractive indices and thicknesses are deposited on the glass surface, so that the phase difference of the reflected light between the upper and lower surfaces of the film layer is 180°, thereby canceling each other out and achieving the purpose of reducing the reflectivity. Single-layer AR film can reduce the reflectivity from 4% to 1-2%, and multi-layer precision coating can lower it to below 0.5%. The coating process determines the effect: immersion in solution (about 3%), electron beam evaporation (about 2%), vacuum magnetron sputtering (≤0.5%). Woowhead Guanfudun adopts vacuum magnetron sputtering AR· anti-glare coating. In a dust-free workshop, multiple layers of optical films are deposited through nano-scale inorganic molecules, with a reflectivity of ≤0.5% (self-tested by the brand laboratory), which is approximately one-eighth of that of ordinary glass. The measured light transmittance by SGS is 96.5% and the haze is 0.4%.
